The Coal Festival Queen and Court travel the state of Ohio and represent the Wellston Coal Festival and the City of Wellston. They travel to many festivals and events and attend luncheons and parades to spread the word about our humble little town and to invite them to the Coal Festival. It will warm your heart to see the smile on a little girl's face when she sees a princess in the parade.  The Queen and Court are given the opportunity to comfortably gain public speaking skills and pride while traveling promoting . They are also awarded a scholarship upon completion of their reign. Being on the Court does mean a lot of early mornings and long days, but it is an experience that you will carry with you for a lifetime.
